It certainly has been a busy few weeks here at vintage cat headquarters, we have accepted an offer on our house so new house with WORKSHOP here we come, well we are one step nearer.
Also I finished this cute little bedside table.
I also went to one of my favourite antique places of all time www.bygonetimes.co.uk and I’m not ashamed to say I almost cleared out one stall but I got some fantastic pre-loved and unloved things and I can’t wait to get started on them, weather permitting of course.
I also tried out some new chalky paint from B&Q called Rust-oleum and I can honestly say it’s very good. It’s price is very similar to the other more well-known brands but there are some interesting colours in particular the Bramwell green which is a good undercoat for lighter colours to go over the top and then stress so the dark colour comes through.
I shall be photographing my new finds and will post the before pictures on my next post.
I am very excited about a new TV programme that is starting on Monday 19th May called “French collection” on channel 4, I think it’s based along the lines of teams of people go to France to source pieces of vintage/shabby chicable furniture and collectables then bring them back to the UK to sell or to refurbish to make money. Sounds good to me 🙂
