Commission pieces are at the heart of up-cycling furniture and I love to get involved in my clients design ideas. So if you have some pieces of furniture that you are no longer feeling the love for then please get in touch, its probably not as expensive as you think.
The following 2 items belong to a lady from Swinton. The Bedding Chest was of sentimental value to her and she wanted to keep everything as it was but needed the piece to be painted and re-upholstered to fit in with a more contemporary decor.
The Console table also needed an uplift to bring it up to date.
This TV Unit is one of many commission pieces I have done for a lovely couple in Stafford, a very useful TV Unit with shelving and drawers.
Toledo Dining Table
This Toledo Dining Table had been with my client for over 45yrs and it is still a fantastic piece of furniture all it needed was a revamp to fit in with a high end kitchen extension and it fits right back into the heart of the home exactly where it should be. It was painted in Victorian Black and waxed very carefully. https://www.vintagecat.co.uk/working-with-black-chalk-paint
Australian Sideboard and Nest of Tables
These pieces had sentimental meaning to this client from Liverpool, she had bought them in Australia and didn’t want to part with them as they were extremely well made and solid. She had a colour scheme in mind and once she had chosen the right grey we started to try out different effects and once she saw the dry brushing technique she loved it.
The materials used were Frenchic Al Fresco Greyhound, Frenchic Frensheen Sexy Silver, Frenchic Finishing Coat and Rustoleum Chalk White Chalk Paint.
